Mike Tarzian comes from a design and engineering background with an emphasis in archetectural millworking.  Born in Pennsylvania, he moved to NYC to attend Parsons School of Design, and was immediately drawn to the vibrant NYC filmmaking scene.  He studied filmmaking at Cooper Union.

Mike and his family pulled up their New York roots and moved to Los Angeles, where he began working as a Line Producer/UPM.  Mike has been fortunate to have Ralph Winter, (Producer of  the X-MEN Film series, the STAR TREK Film series, ane Tim Burton’s PLANET OF THE APES) as his mentor on many of his early projects.

Mr. Tarzian has been producing, line producing and production managing for 10 years.  He has produced and/or line produced 15 features, including Sèance, The Santa Trap, Shoot or Be Shot, The Perfect Wife and several projects with William Shatner.  His films have won numerous awards, including Best Film Award at Shocker Fest 2006, Best Film Award at 2000 Napa Film Festival, Best New Filmmaker Award at 1999 NY Film Festival, Grand Jury Prize Short Film, 1999 Temecula Film Festival, and Silver, Short Film Comedy, Crested Butte Film Festival.

Mike has also directed a feature film the won Honorable Mention at the 2005 Shockerfest for best picture.

In addition to his film work, Mike has worked in television as the writer/producer for Freeform Furniture on the DIY Network, and on infomercials, music videos and commercials.
