The producers and cast of VAPOR TRAILS are the Board Members and Repertory Production Members of The Creative Actors Alliance, LLC, which is made up of Alia Rhiana Eckerman, Marianne J. Murphy, Sarah Pettycrew, Jeff Sable, and Yetem Kefale Worku.

The Creative Actors Alliance, LLC is a dynamic group of entertainment professionals dedicated to ensuring success through the creation of quality product, providing networking opportunities to the artistic community and through steadfast promotion and support of its members. One of their primary goals consists of aiding aspiring actors, writers, directors, producers and craftspeople in connecting with one another and achieving success in their individual careers. The Alliance is a passionate group of actors/entertainers from film, TV, and stage who have banded together to take charge of their careers.

Since its establishment in 1999, the Creative Actors Alliance, LLC has created film, television and stage productions, both in-house and in association with independent production companies and is currently developing two other feature film projects, besides VAPOR TRAILS.

The Alliance continues to host the largest free Monthly Networking Event in Los Angeles. Since its inception, the Event has boasted such guest speakers as Oscar winner, Charlize Theron, Elliot Gould and Robert Forster, producer/manager Larry Thompson, as well as casting directors, agents, directors, and producers.

The Alliance has been actively involved in many charity events over the years. In June 2005, they hosted the “Sip Into Summer”, fundraiser for Performing Arts Studio West, a Los Angeles based organization that offers professional training for performers with developmental disabilities. The Alliance has also donated to the Penny Lane organization, the Ryan Fury Memorial Fund, Toys for Tots, The Los Angeles Mission, The Edward K. Oliver Memorial Fund and participated in the Inaugural Alzheimer’s Benefit held by the Tarzana-Encino Rotary Club in September 2004.

Alia Rhiana Eckerman  began working in the entertainment industry as a child actor in Texas and continued on to attend the University of Hawaii as a Theatre Major. After moving to Los Angeles in 2002, Ms. Eckerman spent the next two years working at some of the largest casting offices in Los Angeles. She was the casting assistant for G. Charles Wright and Lorna Johnson working on TV shows such as That 70's Show as well as numerous pilots. In 2005, Ms. Eckerman was the co-casting director for the feature film Quinceanera that went on to win the Audience Award, the Grand Jury Prize Award & the Humanitas Prize at the 2006 Sundance Film Festival. She produced the short film Every Now & Then in 2006 that is currently being submitted to festivals. Alia has been working as the assistant to the award winning film composer, David Newman for three years.

 

 

Marianne J. Murphy has a Bachelor of Arts from UCLA’s Theatre Department and a Master of Fine Arts from Southern Methodist University in Dallas . Her acting and directing credits include stage, film, television, and radio. In addition to her acting career she has taught college level theatre and communication courses. Marianne has also created and taught corporate courses to enhance executive business communication skills for companies including AT&T and Hallmark. A native Californian, she also worked and studied in NYC for many years. She is on the Board of Directors for Women in Philanthropy at UCLA as well as the UCLA Board of Governors. She was awarded a Red Carpet Award from Los Angeles Women in Theatre in 2006.  She is married and has two grown children.

 

 

Sarah Pettycrew, originally from Saginaw, Michigan, received a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Florida State University.  She worked in the hospitality industry at Walt Disney World in Orlando until moving to  Los Angeles in 1998. Ms. Pettycrew was the receptionist in the production offices for a Miramax Television pilot, The Best Money Can Buy, as well as for the first season of Discovery Channel ’s Phil Koeghan's Adventure Crazy.  Ms. Pettycrew worked for Bobwell Productions as a receptionist and transcriber for the production offices of Blind Date. She continued on as a freelance transcriber for two years at various production companies including 44 Blue Productions, Squish Kitty Productions, and Linda Ellman Productions. She was the creator and coordinator of the scriptwriting competition, The C.A.S.T. Project, produced by the Creative Actors Alliance. She is currently co-producing the independent feature Talking To Strangers, a Tree Fort Production. Ms. Pettycrew has also been a property manager for a 48-unit complex since October 2003 and in August 2005 became a licensed representative for Primerica Financial Services. Ms. Pettycrew is a founding member of the CAA, serving as a Board Member and its Treasurer.

 

Jeff Sable received a Bachelor of Music Degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Southern California. Besides his extensive acting experience, Mr. Sable has served in many capacities behind the camera. Mr. Sable was the casting director for the feature films Black Hole and Blocked as well as numerous short films. His on set production experience ranges from production assistant to boom operator. Mr. Sable was the Associate Director of The Van Mar Academy of Motion Picture and Television Acting for seven years and has been a sought after private acting coach since 1983. In 2000, Mr. Sable became a Board Member of CAA, where he serves as the resident acting coach, in-charge of the monthly acting workshops, and as casting director for all CAA projects. CAA also gave him his first opportunity to direct a CAA in-house sketch comedy short entitled Women’s World. For the past two years, Mr. Sable has worked as a certified club fitter at Golfsmith in Pasadena, California. His other employment experience ranges from retail sales, corporate sales, accounting, education, and the food service industry. Mr. Sable has also been a professional softball umpire and basketball referee for over ten years. He is originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin and has lived in Los Angeles since 1977.

 

 

Yetem Kefale Worku was born in Ethiopia and her native tongue is Amharic.  She arrived in the United States in 1990. She has a degree in Secretarial Science from  Addis Ababa Community College in Ethiopia and a degree in Business Administration from Los Angeles City College. She has worked as a secretary for the Los Angeles County for seven years. She has been working for Los Angeles County as a Social Worker since 1998. She is a certified Makeup Artist. Ms. Kefale is a founding member of the CAA and serves as a Board Member.
